The purpose of ABSO shall be to learn the basics of all forms of improv comedy, foster creativity and story telling abilities, and above all to have fun and entertain. ABSO hopes to bring comedic minds together, give them a stage to perform, and create a deeper understanding of the art form of improvisational comedy. In keeping with Ball State Universities Mission Statement, ABSO hopes to teach improvisational skills through practical performance in an immersive environment, allow students to advance their own knowledge of comedy with their colleagues, and join the national improv community at various events with professional and other student improv troupes.

ASU is a group of students whose purpose is to provide cultural and educational programming about Asian and Asian American history, culture, and interests. The primary goal of ASU is to strengthen cultural pride and facilitate the development of a campus environment conducive to cultural appreciation. We are here to provide equity for artists, diversity in the arts, education and discussion opportunities for creatives and access to the arts in the black community. Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, supporting children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. The main objective of Camp Kesem is to plan a week of summer camp for children whose parents have or have had cancer. The organization’s purpose is to provide Ball State students the opportunity to work on an interdisciplinary project that combines elements of business, health care, counseling, education, and social work to give back to Indiana’s children and families.
