The purpose of ABSO shall be to learn the basics of all forms of improv comedy, foster creativity and story telling abilities, and above all to have fun and entertain. ABSO hopes to bring comedic minds together, give them a stage to perform, and create a deeper understanding of the art form of improvisational comedy. In keeping with Ball State Universities Mission Statement, ABSO hopes to teach improvisational skills through practical performance in an immersive environment, allow students to advance their own knowledge of comedy with their colleagues, and join the national improv community at various events with professional and other student improv troupes.

Creating a community and consistent space for campus leaders to be identified and access resources. Prioritizing the establishment of a competitive network for minority students who want to invest in their professional careers before they graduate from university. We strive to educate others about issues on a global, national, and community level, in an intersectional way. Section 1. The first purpose of Rhythms Dance Troupe is to promote dance within the University and Muncie community. In accordance with this goal, the Troupe produces one performance each semester for the University community, showcasing the choreography, creativity, and talent. The Troupe may undertake other performance opportunities at schools, festivals, charities, and other venues, upon a majority vote of the Troupe’s Board (for composition of the Board, see Article IV).   Section 2. The second purpose of the Troupe is to provide University students with the opportunity to continue and develop their interests in dance in an interactive group setting.   Section 3. The third purpose of the Troupe is to increase non-Greek organizations presence at Dance Marathon.
