The SGA Senate serves as the legislative branch of the Student Government Association at Ball State University. Comprised of student senators representing academic colleges, residence halls, and off-campus students, the Senate advocates for the student body by introducing, debating, and voting on legislation that impacts campus life.

Senators work to ensure that student voices are heard in university decision-making processes. They collaborate with campus departments, student organizations, and university leadership to address student concerns, improve campus policies, and promote inclusive and effective change.

The Senate meets weekly during the academic year and welcomes students to attend meetings, propose initiatives, or get involved in shaping the Ball State experience.
